AUTUMN!!!!

So......it's been over a month since my last post! And I was doing so well........darn!

I am so upset with last night's Grey's episode that I cannot bear to talk about it yet! I mean Cristina QUIT for heaven's sake!!!!! gah!!!!!

I did engagement pictures today for my friend Michelle and her fiance Oswaldo. It was slightly awkward, but fun non the less. I have a few good pictures to work with though. My favorites of the day (including a little creeping on random people) are below!!!

With You I'm Born Again

Well that premiere was well worth the wait! I got out of class thinking I was missing it, but turns out it doesn't come on until 8 mountain time, so I didn't miss a minute!! Here are a few favorite scenes and quotes from the Season 7 Premiere!!

"The two of us are gonna be serving slushies at the multiplex!" "I'd choose dermatology over multiplex!" "I'd choose gynecology over dermatology!" "Surprise, surprise! Perv!"

"You're driving awful fast Dr. Shepherd. You could at least wear a seatbelt."

"Change is constant. How we experience change, that's up to us. It can feel like death or it can feel like a second chance at life. If we open our fingers, loosen our grips, go with it; it can feel like pure adrenaline. Like at any moment, we can have another chance at life. Like at any moment, we can be born all over again."

"I never gave you any crap about your post-it!"

"You think you're bad because you lived, but I'm the reason you lived. And while you were dying, you were crying out for the wife who left you. So that's the opposite of bad for whatever it's worth."

"I think you're either born simple or you're born...me. I want to be the person who gets happy over finding the perfect dress. I want to be simple because no one holds a gun to the head of a simple girl."

"You look beautiful." "I know."

"Derek is the love of my life, but you're my soul mate."

"I'm not wearing white. It's sexist..and vaguely racist!"

"Life is too short. So now I think less...and just do."

Derek quit being chief...which actually makes me really happy. I like watching him in surgery, not in an office. I miss him saying, "It's a beautiful day to save lives people! Let's have some fun!" Cristina and Owen finally got married! And she got to keep her eyebrows this time! With Chief Webber back at the head, Lexie's hair color back to normal, two new regulars, and McDreamy and McSteamy just as cute as ever, Season 7 promises more drama, laughs, and memorable moments!!

Just As You Are

One day left people!!!!!!

In honor of the season 7 premiere tomorrow, I am posting about one of my ALL TIME favorite GA ending scene/voiceover. It is from the episode "I Always Feel Like Someone's Watching Over Me" from season 6.

Above is the most hilarious picture I've ever seen of Sandra Oh! Just love it!

"You need to stop thinking about what's going to happen, you need to focus on what's right in front of you. Now hit the ball!"

"We're all susceptible to it, the dread and anxiety of not knowing what's coming. It's pointless in the end, because all the worrying and the making of plans for things that could or could not happen, it only makes things worse."

"So walk your dog or take a nap. Just whatever you do, stop worrying. Because the only cure for paranoia is to be here, just as you are."

Get excited everybody! Tomorrow is the day!

A Hard's Day Night

And thus begins the dawn of a new era. The era of my obsession with Grey's Anatomy. Season 1 Episode 1. I've seen it probably a billion times but it never gets old.
"Total 007." "What's 007?" "Licensed to kill."

"I thought The Nazi would be a man." "I thought The Nazi would be a....nazi!"

I look back at these pictures from season 1 and I can't help but notice how young everyone looks! How much different they are in only 7 years time. Meredith and Izzie were my favorite characters right from the get go. And then come Cristina and Derek. Then Bailey and George. Followed closely by Alex and Chief Webber. I DESPISED Burke from the beginning (and he eventually proved me right at the end of Season 3 when he left Cristina at the altar).

"Stop looking at me like that....like you've seen me naked!"

"If I hadn't taken the Hippocratic Oath, I would Kevorkian her with my bare hands!"

"Katie competes in beauty pageants." "I know, but we have to save her life anyway."

The start was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better cast. But over the years Grey's has had it's ups and downs. Addison came and ruined things with Meredith and McDreamy (but I eventually grew to love her and Private Practice). Cristina and Burke broke off the engagement (well BURKE did). Callie came on the scene. And then Mark did. Callie and George got married...and then divorced. Lexie wanted to get to know her sister. Cristina and Meredith fought and wouldn't speak for episodes on end. Owen showed up and stabbed pigs in the skills lab. Izzie got cancer. Meredith and Derek got married on a post-it. Owen strangled Cristina. Izzie and Alex got married. George got hit by a bus. Izzie died in Alex's arms. She lived and George died. The Mercy Westers invaded. Izzie got fired. Derek became Chief of Surgery. Mark became a grandpa. Alex signed divorce papers. Bailey got herself a man. Reed got shot in the head. Alex got shot in the side. Mandy Moore helped try to save Percy. He died. April freaked out. Owen got shot. Meredith had a miscarriage. And Derek got shot.
The End.
Now all there's left to is wait. Wait for 4 more days for the return of McDreamy, McSteamy, MerDer, Calzona, Owina, Alexie, the Nazi and more!!!!

Wishin' and Hopin'

"We got married in Vegas!"

"She's toxic!" "Callie? Yeah a lot of us think that!"

So one of my other Grey's favorites is Season 3's "Wishin' and Hopin'" in which Meredith's mom becomes lucid, the Seattle Grace attendings are all exposed to poison, and the Denny Duquette Memorial Clinic opens for business.

I am drawn to this episode's title after recent occurrences in my life. I am hoping to get into BYU's Photography program this November. If I didn't get in then, I would apply again in March. However, the visual arts department decided just yesterday that they would get rid of my safety net March application....that is NOT good! I now have even MORE pressure on me for my November application. If I don't get in, I will be wasting another year without a major.

When Elder Robert D. Hales of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came to campus this past tuesday, he spoke of this time in our lives as the Decade of Decision. That statement couldn't be anymore true! I'm choosing to apply to the Photography major. But if that choice doesn't pan out, I can choose to wait another year for the next application period, or I can choose to change my major to Art History and give up the dream of a major in Photography while replacing it with a minor in visual arts. It is a huge decision....with money, time, and experience all on the line.

So now I must take the words from Meredith Grey. Even though I do not have my "hand on a bomb in a body cavity with a flak jacket strapped to my boobs," I must now say, "What did I do? What do I do? What did I do? What do I do?"

LESS THAN A WEEK UNTIL MY LOVELY MCDREAMY RETURNS!!

What I Am

"Dr. Bailey, all my boyfriends are here!"

"Addison! Dr. Montgomery Shepherd??" "Yes?" "Hi!" "You certainly are aren't you!?"

So this is pretty much my favorite episode of the early years of Grey's Anatomy! It makes me laugh EVERY TIME! Meredith is hilarious when she's high on morphine! She finally makes a decision on who to continue dating, Finn or Derek...McVet or McDreamy. She chooses Derek...YAY!! But sadly, Derek decides he isn't good enough and leaves Meredith to Finn. Thus begins again the long series of break-ups and get togethers of Mer and Der.

"This is why I hate being around stoned people!"

I finally got season 6 on dvd in the mail today!!! :) That means I only need season 4 to complete my collection!!! YAY!! Now I must finish the season episodes before the premiere next week so I can be extra sure I haven't missed anything! :)

8 DAYS!!!

Elevator Love Letter

"For the record, I am your knight in shining whatever!"

How would you like to see that man every time you stepped onto an elevator?? I would personally enjoy it quite a bit!

I'm re-watching all of Grey's Anatomy in preparation for the premiere! I am currently on Season 5's Elevator Love Letter in which Mer and Der finally become engaged! YAY!!

This episode always makes me tear up! It's pathetic I know, but I love it!! I am not engaged....nor do I have a man to begin with....but when I do get engaged, his proposal had better rival that of Derek Shepherd's!

Season 6 on DVD shall be arriving at my doorstep TODAY!! I'm so beyond excited! After that, I'll only need Season 4 and my collection will be complete! YAY for Season 6!! And YAY for Season 7 starting in 9 DAYS!!!

Monday....

"We are not happy glowy people." "Yeah."

At least not on a monday! Monday's are not that bad, they're just annoying and come at inopportune times: right after a nice and relaxing weekend full of absolutely nothing :) I only have two classes on mondays and I'm done by noon, so I really shouldn't be complaining. Normally I am a happy glowy person, and I pride myself on that!

If you know me, you know I love to laugh! I don't really care about the people around me when I laugh. I don't care if they think I'm crazy or completely obnoxious. It's none of their business really. If they want to be sad and gloomy all the time, that's their prerogative!

So here is my piece of advice for today--be happy! Mondays will come and go, but happiness is something you can always have! So laugh with your friends, forget about your responsibilities for awhile, laugh until your stomach hurts, and enjoy the time you have with the people around you.
Try being a happy glowy person!

10 days until SEASON 7!!!

What Matters

"You need to bond with your people. People are what matters." "I hate people."

Au contraire! I love people! And today I get to see some of my favorite people speak at a church service. These people I have never formally met, but feel so close to. They are near the top of my church's leadership. They have taught me so much yet I have never met any of them. Their names are Richard G. Scott, Jeffrey R. Holland, Julie B. Beck, and Boyd K. Packer. I couldn't be more excited to hear them speak here at BYU.

The other day, my friend Lynn and I decided to take a roadtrip around a small part of central/northern Utah. We visited five LDS temples in under four hours! We went to the Provo, Mt. Timpanogos, Draper, Jordan River, and Oquirrh Mountain temples. We had lots of fun, of course! We hope to visit all 16 or so temples in Utah this year. We shall see how that goes, but we're already a 1/4 of the way done!

Guess what!?!?!?!?!

11 DAYS!!!
